Students are increasingly turning to custom essay writing services for help in completing assignments and in helping them "make the grade." But, as a few noteworthy reports have already shown, the quality of the work that students pay for can be suspect. In fact, beyond just poor quality, embedded in many of these papers is repurposed or plagiarized content.
In this session we discuss essay writing services used by students and the frequency of plagiarism, and present strategies to help faculty identify ghostwritten or essay service-written work.
